About KimKim Niemi is an actor, audiobook narrator, singer, and writer best known for Nunsense at Theater Lobby in Boston's North End where she alternated between characters Sister Robert Anne, Sister Mary Leo, and Sister Mary Amnesia in her role as Sister Mary Understudy.
Her focus shifted to music in the late 90's until her return to acting in 2017. She sang lead vocals for bands Main Attraction, DiggerDawg, and STAMPEDE under the name Kim Davidson, opening for national acts like Charlie Daniels and Rodney Atkins. |
She has appeared as a solo singer/songwriter at notable venues including Club Passim, the Lizard Lounge (Open Mic Challenge winner), The Burren, and more, sharing the stage with Susan Levine, Lisa Bastoni, Jenee Halstead, Danielle Miraglia, Amy Petty, Jeff Gaynor and many others. It was during this time that she created the web series and blog Kim Davidson New Song Weekly.
More recently she has performed cabaret sets at Boston's Club Cafe and narrated more than 25 audiobooks including Sarah A. Hoyt's fantasy Shifter Series, Alzheimer's and Dementia for Dummies, Sharenthood, Poppy Harmon Investigates, the Divine Cozy Mystery Series, and more. In March of 2020 she debuted her new web series, Connie, The Common Sense Consultant!
In addition to the creative pursuits listed above, she is an endometrial cancer survivor, a devoted Aunty, and obsessed fangirl.
